You have tried diet after diet, but you can’t seem to stick to a diet plan. Or you lose a bit of weight, and then gain it right back. You suffer intense cravings and can’t stay on the meal plans without having a binge now and then on ‘forbidden’ foods.
You just can’t seem to lose the weight no matter what you do or what diet you try.
You may say to yourself that you’re lazy and have no self-control, you tell yourself over and over what a failure you are at losing weight.
Well the fact is – your brain is making you sabotage yourself on your diet plans. Why is that? Because you are addicted to certain foods. Mainly sugar and flour.
Your previous failures at trying to lose weight is not because of the weight loss plan. It is because it is not addressing why you have troubles following a weight loss plan. Food addiction is real and more common than you think. If you have every suffered from food cravings…. Then chances are you have a food addiction.
I’m sure you’ve heare it before and I’ve heard it myself when I was trying to lose weight. “You just need to follow the plan”. “You need to exercise more and eat less”. “Just don’t eat junk food”. Easier said than done – right!
Knowing you have a food addiction makes your weight loss goals different because you now know why you are having cravings. You understand why you are constantly tempted by cookies, candy and/or chips.
Being a food addict is no different than being addicted to cigarettes, alcohol or drugs. In fact studies show that sugar is more addictive than cocaine. No one wants to be addicted to anything. So what does one do?
You have a choice to make. You can just give in to your food addiction and stay heavy or get even heavier with your health declining – or you can join me in the fight against our own food addiction.
I too am a food addict. It has taken me years to discover that I am. I have taken training and researched about what the average person can do about it. I’m no longer at a loss as to why I couldn’t lose weight, and I can now help you. I know why, and I know what to do about it. You may be a food addict as well. Take the Food Addiction Quiz, and see if you may be a food addict as well. You can take the Quiz at this link: http://www.adrianaellis.ca/food-addiction-quiz.html
